The Maundy Thursday service yesterday was great! Really love the service today because it is very seldom that we sing all hymns without any drums or guitar - It's really like worship back in the olden days. The instruments used in the worship session today were the piano, violin, viola and Cello. And the way the string instruments were positioned was being organized very well. The Violins, Viola, and Cello were on the left side of the stage whereas the Piano was on the floor just beside the stage. So it just makes it have that kind of very Orchestra look. The hymns that were chosen to be sung was - Lead Me To Calvary, What A Friend We Have In Jesus, In The Garden and Jesus Paid It All... And it went very well with the String instruments. Sadly, my favourite song for this worship session that was supposed to be sung wasn't sang - In Love For Me (This Is My Body).Today is Good Friday... So what's so GOOD about Good Friday?Good Friday is actually about this person Jesus Christ who died on the cross. What is so good about this day since it's a day someone died? Well, it has to do with who Jesus is, why He had to die and the result of His death!Because all have sinned, Jesus was sent by God to take the punishment for all our sins - For you and for me. But why must sin be equals death? I believe all have done something in our life that has made God unhappy. Since God is also righteous Judge, He has to punish us for our disobedience. The punishment for us is therefore death and seperation from God forever. But God wants to bridge that gap between us and Him, which is caused by sins. So He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to take our place of punishment, and to bridge the gap between us and Him. In this way, God demonstrated His love for us.On the 3rd day, Jesus rose from the dead! This shows that He is the true and living God and that He has the power to save us and enable us to live a life that is right. God has promised that He will forgive us of our sins because of Jesus's work on the cross if we admit our sincerely admit and repent our sins. There'll be a Good Friday cum Easter Drama at my church today and sunday... It's about four people - Vivian, Andy and Rachel. They come from different walks of life but face a common struggle - the search for that 'missing piece' in their lives. And then there's Josh, a young boy with both life and love to give. Four live... One sacrifice. One choice for eternity. Do let me know if you're interested in coming for the drama.

A day of rain and sunshine... Been so busy this week... But glad that I can finally can squeeze in a bit of time to blog about the major events of my week.
Last Friday 14 March'08 was a BBQ for my Secondary schoolmates. It was really a fun and enjoyable catching up with friends that we haven't seen for a long time. Yea and to the organizers of the BBQ... 2 Thumbs up for the well organized and planned bbq. I believe that everyone who was at the bbq would agree that everything went smoothly - including the weather... Thank God it didn't rain on that day.
Friends who were at the bbq... Including Mrs Ong our ex-teacher

The tent where Puik, Nette, Guanghao, Zhanghao and Me
spent our night at... Wonder how Nette and Puik managed to sleep there..
(Audrey, Daphne and Lisa spent their night outside seeing stars..)
Me, Puik, Nette playing with the sparklers
Right after our BBQ which ended on Saturday, I had to go to church for my JYs "Holy spirit" weekend. The JYs (Sec 1 to Sec 4) had an overnight camp which started on Fri and ended on Sat. The overnight camp was meant for the JYs to have more fellowship with each other and learn who is the Holy Spirit - the spirit that guides us and teach us how to pray and gives us that "conviction" when we sin.
Since last week Tues, I've been attending some talks organized by Singapore Youth For Christ (SYFC). And also most importantly my church Good Friday cum Easter Drama event and service. Yea.. I'm helping out in the lounge (food), befriender to new believers for the drama and clicking for 2nd service for this Thurs, Fri and Sun service. So lots of meetings and service practices to attend to this week. But of course, though its tiring... There's nothing like getting busy with God's work... Cos you have friends to be with u this period and you get to know them better through serving in the various ministries. I believe God has been giving me and all the people serving for this Drama production the strength to pull through this tiring week. Especially those in Uni and are having all their tests, exams and projs due this week.
Nothing to do this coming Good Friday and Sunday.. Then do make it a point to come down to my church for the drama event. Lots of hard work have been put in it to make sure that the drama runs smoothly on the day itself. Do contact me or tagz me if you're coming (=

Sorry for not keeping my blog updated as this week has been a very busy week for me - I have my schedule fully pack for the whole day this week except for monday. Mainly is because I've joined this Singapore Youth for Christ poly serve which organize a list of talks for this 2 weeks. And i'm also helping my church in this JY alpha holy spirit week, clicking and Good Friday event.I got back my results yesterday, Wednesday. Well my results weren't that good. But thank God that I pass all my subjects =D.... Yea! No supp papers! But of course, I believe that I could have done better...Alhtough I'm really glad that I do not need to take any supp papers which means no exams until my year 3.2... I NEED TO GET A JOB SOON!!! I NEED A JOB ASAP. Coz... If I don't get any temp job during my holidays then I'll have to be back at my books again - my mum wants me to take and study and pass around 3 insurance exam papers if I do not get a job this holidays. She complains that I spend too much time on my entertainment now that my exams are over. So she say to make sure I make my time more useful, I should get a temp job if not she will register me for my insurance exams. Sobs. LoL. Don't laugh... And if you're laughing, stop laughing. I just want to get some "life" out of my books or rather enjoy my holidays before my attatchment and major project starts.Everyday rain.... *Sigh* Cannot go out to run and train for my NAPFA and lose weight or rather "extra fats" to get rid of my tummy (I want a flat tummy). There'll be a drama about what Good Friday and Easter is about this coming good Friday and easter. Curious to know what Good Friday and Easter is? If you are then do let me know. So I can book the tickets for you for the drama - Tickets are free.P.S: I'll have to remind myself not to use my desktop again to blog unless my mother isn't around. Coz I don't like her poking her nose in my personal life - she usually mess up my "holiday plan" especially now that she knows my results are out ='(-I'm currently watching Revolving Doors of Vengeance-

Whee ~^_^~ Exams are all over for now. Now salcking at home doing household chores, did a bit of translation for my mum from english to chinese (though she finds it hard to get her chinese pronounciation right eg. Lawyer, lǜ shī in chinese she keeps pronouncing it as lu si.) and watching my DVD (Face to Fate) hong kong show... So far I've watched until episode 15. Need to faster chiong if not my friends will not be able to finish watching before the due date for the show.
A BBQ with my secondary school friends will be coming up soon like next week. Really looking forward to meeting them again. Cos the last time I met up with them, the bbq didn't went as well as planned - The day the bbq was held (during my exam period) forced me to leave early. So I couldn't fellowship much with my Sec school friends.
Went to watch the movie "L change the world" with my friends 2 days ago on Tuesday. Nice show! Those who haven't watch it yet should go watch.

I think this is the only part in the Death note show that you get to see L sweet side instead of just solving cases and eating sweets, candies and chocolates. There's a part where L tries to stand up straight to please the kids which is quite funny - you can see him putting a huge effort in it with his monotonous expression while the kids watch on and cheer. When he finally stood straight, to the kids dismay, he quickly went back to his slouching position again within seconds.
When you see how L bond with the kids through all the running about, trying to protect the kids from harm, you'll find it really sad to know that L had to die in the end just to solve the case of the Death note. *Sobs* I miss L though he's not as handsome as the guy acting as Light aka Kira.
The last part was really touching when L finally found some meaning and purpose in life, telling Watari in his thoughts that he wish that he won't have to die so soon.
Hopefully I'll be able to save up enough to buy this last episode of the Death note when it comes out in DVDs or VCDs. Then I'll be able to watch L in action all over again.
